Matthew Parker Hey Dan.
What a beautiful collection of songs mate. So many memories tied up in this collecting from early days at the empress and the rob Roy amongst many others. Cheers mate. Hope you are well. Stick a couple of bonus sleeping pilot tracks on the b side. Ha ha.

about

From 2007-2013 Dan Flynn released four celebrated albums under the moniker of 'Major Chord'.

Dan didn't choose the name 'Major Chord' because he loves the major scale (although he does), he chose it because that's where his music resonates - deep in the heart. Dan's songs have struck a chord in listeners all around Australia and the world and, as veteran music journalist Jeff Jenkins (ABC, 3RRR) puts it, "Dan Flynn remains one of Australian music's great quiet achievers, an earnest folkie with genuine pop smarts".

This compilation is made up of songs that have stood the test of time and, recently remastered by his long-term collaborator Paul Fox, they sound as fresh as the day they were born. For Dan, each of these songs is a treasure trove that charts his course through the universe and hold within them all his secrets, stories and expressions of love. Some say these are Dan's finest songs, his most universal and appealing, but we'll let you be the judge of that.

---

"Psychic Civil War is the kind of album that you'd expect from an international touring artist of note, not from a gentle, bearded fellow from Reservoir. A truly significant release" (Beat Magazine)

"There are certain, rare records that it’s genuinely difficult to imagine someone not liking. This is one. The fourth LP [Transition] from Melbourne’s Major Chord is a striking and undeniably beautiful work" (The Weekly Review)

"Mature, elegant and fiercely intelligent pop record. Flynn is, simply put, an amazing songwriter... ****1/2"
